Nicole Deaner, MSW

Quality Improvement Coach

Prior to joining the Colorado Clinical Guidelines Collaborative (CCGC) team, Nicole Deaner worked at HouseWorks elder care agency in Newton, MA for four years and was serving as the Interim Executive Director of Home care when she decided to relocate back to Denver. Before assuming this position, she served as HouseWorks’ Senior Associate Director of Home Care, working closely with clients and their families navigate through the healthcare system for more than three years.

Prior to joining HouseWorks, Nicole was the Information and Referral Coordinator for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, New England Chapter where she provided resource information, guidance, and short-term care management services for more than 100 clients per month. While with the MS Society, she was also integral to the development and expansion of the New England Chapter’s information and referral department. 

Previous go her graduate level work, she provided mental health counseling and case management services for at-risk women and teens in the Denver area and was awarded the Colorado Child Care Worker of the Year Award in recognition of her work. Nicole has also served as an ombudsman in assisted living facilities, helping residents and their families resolve concerns about living conditions.

Nicole received her B.S. from Illinois State University in 1994 and later earned her M.S.W. from the University of Denver in 2001.
