Sue Houck, NP, MBA
Senior Quality Improvement Coach
Sue is the author of What Works: Effective Tools & Case Studies To Improve Clinical Office Practice, the first comprehensive book on ambulatory care redesign. An experienced healthcare manager, nurse practitioner, author and speaker, she has also headed the consulting firm Houck & Associates, Inc. a leader in ambulatory care redesign, including the implementation of electronic health records. Recent national projects include assisting the American Academy of Family Practice to facilitate its implementation of TransforMED, a national project to redesign the practice of Family Medicine as well as the DOQ-IT initiative. Sue has a Masters in Business Administration and regularly presents at national healthcare conferences. She formerly served as Chief Operating Officer of Critical Care Incorporated as well as health care consultant for KPMG Peat Marwick.
