Funder
In 2006 the State of Colorado was awarded a grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Center for Substance Abuse Treatment to develop and implement screening, brief intervention and referral to treatment (SBIRT) for alcohol and substance use as a routine procedure within health service delivery systems. The SBIRT Colorado initiative which is administered by the Division of Behavioral Health (formerly the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division) and managed by Peer Assistance Services, Inc. provided funds to CCGC to develop guidelines for clinical preventive health services and alcohol and substance use for use in healthcare settings throughout Colorado.
