Medicare PQRI
Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI) is a 1.5% bonus on Medicare reimbursement for reporting on Quality Measures for Medicare Patients between July 1 and Dec 31, 2007. This is not Pay for Performance, this is pay for reporting quality measures. The levels of the LDL or BP or HbA1c are not the basis of the bonus, it is reporting the levels that matter. If you successfully report on 80% of the possible opportunities, you qualify for the 1.5% bonus regardless whether the physician completes all the care 80% of the time. The bonus only applies to the Medicare fee schedule, not Secure Horizons. Dates refer to the date the material or link was posted by CCGC.
