On November 16, 2007 at the Colorado Patient Safety Coalition's 7th Annual Patient Safety Conference - Do No Harm VII - Dr. Marjie Harbrecht, Executive/Medical Director of Colorado Clinical Guidelines Collaborative (CCGC), was honored for her outstanding contributions to patient safety in Colorado.

Colorado Patient Safety Coalition

The mission of the Colorado Patient Safety Coalition is to foster development of a statewide culture of patient safety in Colorado.  This is accomplished by:

  • Educating providers, consumers and the media
  • Promoting, supporting and encouraging sustainable improvements in patient safety in Colorado
  • Promoting collaborative efforts and programs among facilities and health professionals
  • Providing a statewide awards program, and
  • Identifying, promoting and promulgating successful strategies that improve patient safety

CPSC has participation from many perspectives within and without the healthcare industry, including professionals, institutions, regulators, purchasers and consumers.  The participants are not members, but rather individuals and entities wishing to take part in dialogue regarding patient safety.  CPSC is a registered Colorado nonprofit corporation that has received IRS designation as a 501c3 entity.
